A new watch

I bought a new watch today because the battery on my other died. It difficult to find batteries here and someone that will do a good job. So I went to a guy on the street and bought a Cugge watch. No, I've never heard of that brand either. It only cost N300 or $2.30. We will see if this battery lasts 6-8 months like the guy promised.

What else.... It's November, that's exciting. School is going well. Every first friday of each month, we, the SIMers here, meet for a big potluck dinner and worship/prayer time. It is a great time and we usually average about 40-50 without the kids.

I made Snickerdoodle cookies and a Chocolate Chess pie and the pie was gone by the time I got through the line. I'm taking that as a good sign. This is a big thing that I know how to make pie. If you know my family you know my grandma, aunts, cousins, uncle, mom, and brother are awesome pie makers. However, all of us are excellent pie eaters. It's a small shame that I carry that I can't make a pie but not anymore!
